Sports medicine is the prevention and treatment of injuries related to participation in any and all sporting activities. 

Dr. Alvarado has helped numerous athletes who have sustained countless injuries to return to their everyday activities.

We provide a 3-part multifactorial treatment to help alleviate back pain. This treatment consists of medication, physical therapy, and spinal interventions. 

A concussion is a traumatic brain injury that affects your brain function. Effects are usually temporary but can include headaches, difficulty concentrating, problems related to memory, balance, and coordination. Concussions are usually caused by a blow to the head or violently shaking the head and upper body. 

Osteoporosis is a disease in which bone quality and density are reduced. As the bone becomes fragile, a patient becomes more susceptible to fractures.  Osteoporosis is a “silent disease” that is not usually recognized until a fracture occurs.

Platelet Rich Plasma, also known as PRP, has been shown to help relieve pain by assisting the healing process of musculoskeletal conditions. This treatment is used for many common injuries and degenerative conditions, including ankle sprains, tendonitis, common ligament sprains, knee injuries, osteoarthritis, shoulder, hip, rotator cuff tears, and even tennis elbow.

Many professional athletes have received non-surgical or post-surgical treatment for their sports injuries with PRP injections.
