Sports Medicine

Sports medicine is the prevention and treatment of injuries related to participation in any and all

What is the difference between a sports medicine specialist and a traditional doctor?

In order to be a sports medicine specialist, a physician must  have significant specialized training in both the treatment and  prevention of illness and injury. A sports medicine specialist helps patients maximize their function while minimizing disability and time away from sports, work, or school.
